Default Merging Accounts

Hello everyone, I bought GW Nightfall yesterday, Decebmer 1 and I accidentally created a new account instead of adding it to the old one (prophecies + Factions). Please help me, how do you merege these two accounts? Thank You. I filed a support ticket to Anet but no one has responded to me yet.

Can't be done manually at all, once you've created the new account that's it.

I have heard that in some cases they will close the account and reissue you a serial key to use. But that's not actually merging; you'd lose everything you had on the account.

I registered my new access key to a new account instead of adding it to my existing account.

I've heard this too, but there's a bit of a discrepancy (from my observation). They won't move keys between accounts of those who have more than one, but they'll do this. The reason they say they won't move keys - "Once a key has been applied, it cannot be unapplied." (or something like that). I think if people want to move keys between accounts, and both accounts would still have keys on them, and if said user could prove the accounts were his, they should move the keys since that's basically what they're doing here (provided that doing so does not leave the original account without keys on it).

I wanted to take 2 CD Keys from one of my accounts and add them to the other, because that's the only one I play on (account would still have had 2 other keys on it). Sent them a ticket, they asked for the keys, gave them the keys and the above was their only response. Yet, by doing the above, that's what they are doing except that the created account is closed and the keys added to the existing one. Definitely a discrepancy here.

^It's not really a discrepancy. It is technically impossible to merge accounts atm (which they say they have no intention of changing). But when you tell them you accidentily made a new account rather than adding it to an existing account; they issue you a new key to give you access to the same content. They're not just making the same key reusable; the old key is rendered permanently closed/ null and void.

My example isn't an account merger either. What they are/would be doing in both cases is deactivating a key and activating either the same key or another key, which violates what they say when they say that once a key has been applied, that's it said key can't be deactivated. That's my point.

If I buy a pre-order and oops and make a new account, will they issue a new preorder key? Doubtful. But if, say, I wanted to move a pre-order key, it's too bad. It's the exact same thing.

Another way to look at it is if they can issue a new key to same content access, then if I wanted to move 2 keys why can't they do the same thing? Deactivate the 2 keys I want moved and issue 2 new keys for the same content to be added to the account I wanted the keys moved to. Surely you see the drift here.

The thing is, those two accounts each have things unlocked on them, and with an older account I can see them being hesitant because maybe you hacked it and just want to cause the original owner some grief.

Not when I gave them every key on the account except for a pre-order that I lost/misplaced (still have stuff in boxes from last 2 moves and even told them I can't find it), and have the other physical CD Keys right here with me. Both accounts have at least 4-5 keys on them each (one has more than that), and I doubt that I would hack an account only to slap several keys onto it. So obviously I didnt hack my own account. They did that check already and said everything was fine. If they wanted me to physically send them a copy of the keys, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
